Isn't the relentless propaganda of BJP leaders that they will establish a Hindu Rashtra, a Hindu Nation in India the reason for the Muslim-led Bangladesh riots and the persecution of Hindus there? When it comes to the party that rules the country, doesn't it need some wisdom, some restraints on its policies and statements? Now, because of this, India's border guarding force- the Border Security Force- is facing a double obligation, a double duty. India has borders with not only Bangladesh but also Pakistan, and they have to guard them both, and that duty too is now under hazard and threat. The reflection of this has started to be seen as more terrorist attacks in Kashmir because security forces as well as intelligence-gathering forces cannot be deployed there in advance as and when needed. It can be assumed that this Bangladeshi rebellion, which is being supported by countries including Pakistan and perhaps Iran, must also be a factor in this, with these terrorist attacks as a purpose. Apart from that, there was nothing urgent and serious there that had not been there for a long time, except for the then ruling prime minister Sheikh Hasina's repressive rule and human rights violations. And neither was it as severe as in Pakistan or Iran. The responsibility for this violent and chaotic situation lies with the very narrow policies, decisions and declarations of the ruling BJP party in India, which lacks an international diplomatic philosophy and Muslim tolerance.

When Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited India in early 2024, she officially met the BJP Prime Minister Narendra Modi and unofficially met the Congress President-equaling Sonia Gandhi, spent time with them, and held discussions. After that, the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress did not mind what difference has come in Hasina's policies and programs after her return to Bangladesh, but the Muslim people of Bangladesh, especially the army and militants, as well as the religiously-based regimes of Pakistan and Iran, have noticed. It is also noteworthy that this riot broke out there shortly after her return from India. Britain and the United States proved that even if India and the major political parties in India snub India's role in this, the world does not, by unexpectedly denying asylum to this female Prime Minister who resigned and fled her country, and by making her a liability to India itself.

In this riot, it is not only Sheikh Hasina, a Muslim and a ruler, who fled the country- thousands of Hindus, who are also Bangladeshis, have fled the country and are waiting at the border to enter India. Among them are not only Hindus but also many Christians. Along with them, there may be Sikhs and Jains too. Although the BSF is providing them with food and water, it is not giving them the permission to cross the border and the shelter they need. They continue to remain at the border as victims of India's changed foreign policy, the BJP's dubious domestic policy and the recent refugee-citizenship program they have launched. The only reason the Bangladeshi rebels did not chase them down and kill them was because India's army was there opposite behind a barbed wire fence. These asylum-seeking refugees do not experience that what lies beyond the barbed wire fence is once their own country, a country with a history that has sheltered people from Plato to Christ.

Not so long ago, just seven decades ago, all of them were part of undivided India. They are not tourists from Bangladesh, but citizens of that country who have been there for so long. Where else should they flee to but India? How can they return to their homes as per India's demand when religious extremists and terrorists are committing murders there, throughout their country? If a similar situation were to happen to the leaders of the BJP individually, what would they do, how would they react to India? Let us not forget that many of the top leaders who were alive then and whose activities led to the formation of BJP came from Pakistan, seeking refuge after independence and the partition of the country.

If, as violence in this close-neighbouring country increases (and it will not stop increasing), the number of refugees increases and the Indian paramilitary border forces are unable to stop them, then India itself will have to use force against them. That will be an eternal humiliation for India - although BJP may not feel that way. In any case, there is no possibility of these people who were once part of India going to Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, the old Brahma Desam of the Indian Hindus, or Afghanistan, the old stronghold Apa Ghana Sdhaanam of their Bharata emperor!

In reality, isn’t this a trap set for the newly entrant in Indian political arena, the ruling Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) who, alighted on the wings of the Reliance Industries stirred up the Hindus and captured power without any prior experience in administration, taking over the Indian government saying ‘we will show you how we will recreate the old Indian Empire of Bharatha as a new Hindu Nation’- a trap set by the very same non-Hindu countries of today who were once subjugated and part of that ancient Bharatha Empire? Wasn't this all these countries that were once part of that old Indian empire joining in and work together, saying, ‘Show us how it’s created’. Of all the countries that were part of that old empire, only Sri Lanka, also known as Rathna Dweepam then, and Thailand, the old Siam which was known then as Syaama Raajyam in this empire complex, seem to be not involved in this movement. Or have they joined in too?

So far, the Border Security Force of India has been able to treat them, this influx of refugees coming from Bangladesh, with dignity. But can it continue to do so when their numbers increase? At one point, to stop the unbearable influx of refugees into India, in exactly the same circumstances as during the time of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi the Indian army went into Pakistan where the violence that caused the influx was taking place, defeated the Pakistani army through military action, cut that country into two and instead of annexing one to India, out of decency liberated one of them and created a new independent country called Bangladesh, won’t it have to be repeated? Or, even if it not cut off, wouldn't it become necessary to suppress both the Bangladeshi army and the rebels through military action, restore democratic rule, liberate Bangladesh once again, and bring about a peaceful resolution to the conflict?

In short, wouldn't this lead to a situation where the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party in Bangladesh is facing the same military-political situation that Israel is facing today in Palestine and Gaza due to Islamic terrorist organizations- if India's foreign policy, refugee laws and policies are a smokescreen?

The Prime Minister of a small country visits the Prime Minister of a neighboring, bordering, big country, and holds consultations. Suddenly, a riot breaks out in that small country, and the Prime Minister loses her position. She flees the country, and by overnight seeks refuge in that big country. Doesn't it feel a bit unbelievable and distrustful? Either the other opponents are aware of the weaknesses, shortcomings, and inconsistencies in the diplomatic power, foreign relations, and political power of the ruling party of that big country, or the ruling party of that big country, without a single majority in Parliament, is preparing to create a war situation for temporarily uniting its alliance’s constituent parties without breaking up and losing power!
