When Corona virus devours people in ten thousands, it is everyone’s right to question a government because no one knows if he or she would be the next to be devoured. If people die out and economy fails, it is what the government is there for- to prevent economy from not failing due to people dying out or due to their illhealth upsetting the country’s productive manpower. If a government is vigilant, efficient and caring, people won’t die out for any reason on this scale, for it would have taken comprehensive steps to ensure the prevention of such situations. Of cource the science and medical technology available to a government is important and crucial in preventing such situations but who will say the Governement of India lacks in money to develop on their own or even buy such medical technology and science from other countries? There was enough time to quarantine the whole nation after the outbreak of the corona virus in China was first reported. But the government did not take any such vigilant preventive action till the virus crossed the borders and began to kill people. We cannot say the government did not take any action at all- it did, through the very person of the prime minister, ask people to strike vessels and light lamps at dusk in homes. Does anyone think today it was what was needed for resisting and driving away corona? The science and technology of India was at its peak during the time of the Congress rule. From there it began to slip down to a dangerous degradation as the Bharatiya Janata Party government took over and began to promote superstitions. The scientists in India lost their drive and they watched in horror as communities clashed together caused by hate speeches. The BJP government for ten years promoted nothing but superstitions and communal hatred among people and the state ministers found no time except for propulgating hatred onto government business, so in the end there was no time or resources for the development of science and life-saving medical technology. So when the corona epidemic appeared and made its sweep, the people of India are now face to face with the reality of no governmental science and technology being there to save them and people let to live or die as this virus decides. (Contd…)

Just one week after the Independence Day of India, by 22 August 2020, the corona caseload in India crossed the 30-lakh mark. Is that how the government celebrates an Independence Day? On the birthday of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on 02 October 2020, the number of corona death toll in India crossed the 1-lakh mark. Was it the BJP government’s tribute to the Father of the Nation? Just three days after, on 05 October 2020, it crossed the 66-lakh mark. Within a week after crossing the 60-lakh mark, by 11 October 2020, even according to the Union Ministry of Health of the Government of India, it is past the 70-lakh mark. Then why should there be a Union Ministry of Health and a Government of India, if people are just thrown to the wolves this way?
