Doesn't that civet know that Pinarayi Vijayan is residing at Cliff House...? Kerala’s Marxist Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said during an official ceremony on 29 February 2024 that a civet was regularly urinating on his ironed white dresses. He did not say whether he was in it or not while. He also said that if he put a glass of water on the table to drink, it will come and sprinkle it with holy water. No one went to ask if his ironed shirts were usually just left on the table plainly, if always a glass of water was left on a table uncovered, if this urinating was done only on his clothes or on all others’ clothes also, if the Thondi Evidence was handed over to the Cantonment Police Station and a Mahazar registered accusing anyone of conspiracy, and if anyone was booked and arrested without bail on this account, because everyone knows from seeing and hearing a lot about him since he assumed charge of Chief Minister and went to live at this governmental official residence that he is going to tear down this Cliff House and build a new one there, to pocket a lot while spending a few millions of people’s money. People also know that this speech hinting a civet problem in his official government residence is a foreword and preface to it. For a long time now, the hints for dismantling and rebuilding this fine governmental residential building has been dropped here and there vaguely by him and his immediately surrounding cronies: he has been building up momentum and preparing people for this extravagance.

Usually, when someone tells such a story, that part of his name containing that place name would immediately and invariably be changed from Pinarayi to Marappatti (Civet), which is usual for the people of Kerala and in accordance with their custom. Don't know if it has already been done. The author indeed knows of a person near Palode in a Laksham Veedu Colony whose name was thus changed by people to Marappatti Vijayan since he was never in the habit of leaving a civet coming across his way alive and not cooking it.

These grand palaces were built during the Travancore royal rule and given to these Ministers and Chief Ministers as official residences by the government of Kerala- regardless of the facilities they had in their own houses where they were born and raised in, without asking how many rooms there were in their own houses, whether they had toilets, whether they had electricity, whether they had pathway for a car or didn’t even have one for a bicycle. Anyway, these ministers and the chief minister are dissatisfied with these houses. Why doesn’t the Chief Minister ask for the royal family-held Kowdiar Palace for his living? Civets are their problem! It is Elephants and Tigers passing through the houses of the people who elected them and temporarily handed over their own powers to them- entering their houses and snatching them away. After receiving salary for solving such problems, these ministers and the chief minister say civets are their problem!
