Indian newspapers have miles to go before opening up and printing anti-dog literature

There was a time in India when newspapers only published articles praising dogs and arguing why they should be there. They never did print an article arguing why dogs should not be there and discussed how dangerous dogs’ presence among human beings is. That time is past. Now dissenting opinions appear due to the freedom of opinion policy of Murdoch’s Times Of India. When the TOI was in the haughty hands of Indian editors, such dissenting opinions on mad man-dogs relation were not permitted. Today, everyone can express their opinions in their comment columns and as a result more and more people are becoming aware of the many diseases caused by or spread from dogs. Today, if someone writes an ode in praise of dogs, there indeed would be another who condemns the presence of dogs. This said it shall not be deemed that all Indian newspapers have become impartial in the matter of man-dog relationships. Only that because of its sudden foreign take-over and the resultant change in management and policy matters, TOI opened up and began to permit anti-dog literature too. Other papers have miles and miles to go before opening up and permitting the printing of articles expounding why dogs are a risk to man’s society.
