India imports many things and exports many things also. The first is a long list and the second is a shorter one. Imports far exceed exports. That is why there is always a trade deficit which is skillfully dressed up as many other things. Recently a person in the social media compared these and arrived at the conclusion that India is not as productive as the government says and that the people of India are too much dependent on those countries they condemn and abuse regularly. He was called a traitor by several people. These people also abused the countries which were listed as the largest exporters to India, particularly Europe, as having a cultural conflict unlike India.

Isn’t it going too much to call a person who lists the main imports as a traitor of the country? Isn’t it the top-ruling ministers and government secretaries who ordered the import of these things from abroad to be called traitors of the country? It is argued that though Europe contributed heavily to India in many ways, in many fields, there are cultural conflicts existing in Europe. But is India free of cultural conflicts? Europe eats beef and there are practically no starving people there. India has perhaps the greatest number of starving people in the world but they kill those who eat beef. Isn’t it a cultural conflict in India? Gender injustice and gender inequality are major crimes in Europe but why didn’t India government prosecute those who attacked women who tried to enter Sabarimala Temple? Isn’t that a typical cultural conflict? It is easier to write that European women dress scantly while it is harder and dangerous in India to write that Union Women Ministers who go and sit before totally naked Sanyasis who have not a stitch on should be dismissed from ministry.
