The British Broadcasting Corporation has enough clout in its history even not to obey the British Government. So who expect them to obey the Indian Government? That is one major difference between British Press and the Indian Press. They are free to report what they find is news, although not that free like the Indian Press to report their interpretations also alongside. Here one important question is, in spite of the British Prime Minister being clearly on the side of the Indian Prime Minister, is not at all a criticizer of India’s Kashmir action, and is one who makes a joke of his parliament and democratic processes by suspending it for not discussing Brexit exactly like his Indian counterpart who spent only a few ‘minutes’ to ‘discuss’ the Kashmir abrogation, why did the BBC report to the whole world that there were human rights violations going on in Kashmir and that they have original videos from the ground as proof, not satellite images.

For one thing, not many people, except of cource the ‘wounded parties’, call them liars. For another, in 1947 in the Second World War, Indian soldiers lying in trenches learned what were going on and if the war was going to end by listening to the BBC Radio broadcasts. There were no other listenable communications then. No one called them liars then, not even the Germans. They too wanted to know of that mad dog Hitler would die and the war would end. In 1975, during the National Emergency of India declared by Smt. Indira Gandhi which was soon followed by a total news blackout like it is now in Kashmir, the people of India including the opposition leaders listened to BBC Radio and learned what were going on in different parts of the country and if the fall of Indira Gandhi was imminent. Atal Bihari Vajpei, Murali Manohar Joshi or Lal Krishna Advani did not call BBC liars then. In 2019, Kashmir has curfew and news blackout when BBC told they were going to strengthen the power of their radio transmission to India to help people learn what are happening. Why call BBC liars now? Because BJP is in power now.
