Their quarter-penny followers- a herd of buffaloes who have not even heard of something like history- are bellowing with joy and pride to the world at this!! Bhaaratham was not a country like India, but an empire that crossed continents. Sri Lanka, India comprising of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Hindustan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Burma, and Siam which later renamed itself as Thailand, were all in that vast and well-organized empire.
It is said that some parts of Vietnam and Cambodia were also lying at the far reaches of this empire. That was Bhaarata! And that alone was Bhaarata!! It was under the influence of such a large empire that Indonesia, which is the country most populated of Muslims in the world today, still has ten to twelve temples in every village, name and images of Ganesha on currency notes, images of Hanuman on the flag of the army, and idols of Saraswati placed in front of universities.
Then the name of Sri Lanka was Rathna Dweepam which means the Island of Jewels. The name of Afghanistan was Apa Ghana Sdhaanam. Nepal was Nepaalam. The name of Burma was Brahma Desham or the Land of Brahma. The name of Siam was then Shyaama Raajyam. The central state was of course Saindhavam or Sindhu or India. Is it possible to create an empire or a kingdom or a composite-nation like this again? The European Union, the OPEC or the Organization of Oil Exporting Countries, and the Non-Aligned Nations’ Movement once-led by Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Fidel Castro, which are all parts of the modern world history, prove that it is possible.
But it needs leaders of the caliber of world leaders, parties and trans-national fronts, of exceptional tolerance and learning like Emperor Bharatha. India's current Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not it, nor is it the BJP- the Reliance-controlled religious theocratic political party in India that rules at the center, who all decided to rename India as Bhaaratam. So, because they did not get international recognition and honor to form a union of nations due to their inability for the other thing- i.e. resurrecting the original Bhaaratam from its once-component countries- and their Hinduistic narrow politics and outlook and accompanying intolerance, evil, revilement and wickedness that made those other countries that were once in that empire hostile to them, they changed the name of India to Bhaaratam by simply putting a signature and a seal on a one and a half rupees worth paper.
